Just a little devotion from my heart.

New Desire had a women’s conference at New Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Hodges, AL this past weekend. Their theme for the weekend was “Branded for Christ.” They were coming from Galatians 6:17 which says, “From henceforth let no man trouble me: for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus.” Brenda taught us how that when we are saved by grace through faith, that we then bear the marks of Jesus Christ.

God expects us not only to love Him, but to love others as well. Loving others reveals God in our lives, and God is pleased when we love others with a godly love. How can we demonstrate our love for on another?

As the dawn of a New Year approaches, many people’s minds turn to New Year’s resolutions. We start each January with an attempt to make ourselves better people. We vow to quit smoking, lose weight, study Scripture more, attend church more regularly, or spend more time with the kids. The things we couldn’t seem to find the resolve to do in the fading year become a goal for the coming one. And, so, I’ve made my New Year’s resolution.
